Our little Yuna Ballerina turned three last week and we threw her an Angelina Ballerina party! Angelina Ballerina is a British animated TV series about a little ballerina mouse.

As the guests arrived, they were welcomed into Yuna’s makeshift ballet studio for aspiring ballerinas just like herself. A souvenir station filled with pink tutus for the girls and nutcracker pillows for the boys was set up because Yuna likes to give as much as she likes to receive.

We held her party at the charming Silk Pavilion of Blue Leaf and for her special day, it was filled from top to bottom with so much pink! The ceiling was decorated with thousands of pink paper cut ballerinas in perfect arabesques.

One of our DIY projects are the ballet shoe centerpieces that served as vases for pretty pink peonies. Then on the stage, ballet mistress, Miss Lilly Mouseakova, Angelina Ballerina and her classmates showed everyone us how it’s done. The life-sized illustrations were hand-drawn and painted by Yuna’s very talented uncle, Jakin Martinez.

As for our cheese station, we created a backdrop with this beautiful Bible passage and a ballerina shoe made of rolled colored paper to show that Yuna dances not only for herself, but for her Father in heaven. Praise the Lord for her talent!
