This Father’s Day, instead of just taking your hubby out to dinner at a restaurant, we suggest treating him to a lovely home-cooked dinner, which we’re sure he’ll love more. Make the dinner more special by setting up the dinner table in his honor.

Take your cue from one of our favorite party stylists, Chris Nease of Celebrationsathomeblog.com.

It may be not be quite as easy to come up with a masculine yet chic table setup, as compared to a classic and feminine one, but Chris did a fabulous job at doing so. Using blue, her husband’s favorite color, and white as the color palette, with splashes of copper and gold highlights, the table setup looked low-key yet sophisticated.

We love how the white china, the gold cutleries and the copper mugs, pop against the deep blue table cloth.

Father's Day gifts with ribbons that complement the color palette help in unifying the theme. We love how Chris even added simple blue and white striped buntings to add a festive feel the celebration.

We love the print on print design style that Chris used, highlighting the blue on both the china and the table napkins. The craft paper tags as place cards is a fun detail which lends a low-key contrast to the delicate details on the plates.

Who says you can't use plants on a masculine table? Here, Chris used flowering plants with more green rather than just flowers. It perfectly balances out the blues and browns on the setup.

Treat your husband to his favorite dessert on his special day. A store-bought ice cream cake styled with blue candies at the base made this sweet ending fit right in with the chic table setup.
